Sierra Anderson is the Office Coordinator at McChrystal Group, where she works to ensure seamless office operations and serves as an executive assistant to both the Government and Commercial Presidents. She manages their calendars and emails with discretion, supports event coordination, and handles client bookings, delivering exceptional experiences with a focus on efficiency and professionalism.
What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Before joining McChrystal Group, I graduated in May 2024 with a degree in International Studies and Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies. During college, I served as captain of my lacrosse team and Director of Recruitment for my sorority, Delta Delta Delta. My professional experiences include assisting at a citizenship application support center in Dublin, Ireland, where I provided information on Irish citizenship, and working in Greece with the IRC and UNHCR to develop trade skill classes for refugees. Additionally, I worked remotely for Leading Challenges, managing social media, IT, and supporting speakers in preparing for engagements on emotional intelligence. These experiences cultivated my leadership, global perspective, and administrative skills.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
I joined McChrystal Group because its mission deeply resonated with my experiences in teams—from sports to sorority life to family. I was drawn to its focus on collaboration, growth, and the power of teams, knowing I could contribute meaningfully while making a difference in people’s lives every day.
What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?
My role as Office Coordinator allows me to be proud every day, as it gives me the opportunity to contribute and make a positive impact. Whether it’s assisting with tasks or supporting the team, knowing I can help create smoother operations is what I’m most proud of. Another proud moment was during my first week when I successfully answered a question from General McChrystal about defending my generation in front of 50 CEOs. It was a defining moment that showcased that I was meant to be at McChrystal Group.
Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?
I’m passionate about leaders and teams because I believe no one should go through life alone. To be the best version of yourself—whether as a person, client, or employee—you need a group to push you. I wouldn’t be who I am without the support of my family, sports teams, workplaces, and friends. Our relationships, built on a shared purpose, are essential to growth and success.
