We generally understand risk in terms of probability and consequence, the likelihood of something happening as well as the consequences if it does. Your organization can benefit from plotting the probability and consequences of any risk onto an axis to compare where you align and where you don’t. In both cases of high or low probability events, your teams should work to align so that they're all thinking of and reacting to risk in shared ways.
